23 Jan 2018 - Still sick

Now the guys are sick.  Fever.  Barfing.  Bueno.  Or rather, no bueno.
Its a barrel full of laughs.
In an attempt to broaden our minds, while we're waiting on school work assignments, we discovered the educational arm of PBS.  Gosh, I love PBS.  We checked out some clips on "The History of the Jews" ('cause we couldn't access the full version), a short on how dinosaur bones become fossils, and we ended with a pretty advanced, but good, explanation of Newton's Laws.  (Yeah.  We were all over the place.  We're calling it...well-rounded.)

After the Newton's Laws refresher, it dawned on me that my children are the perfect embodiment of all three of Newton's Laws.  (I wonder if they played chess together in a former life?)  Here's an example:

Law #1 - A body in motion (Nate) tends to stay in motion unless acted on by an outside influence.  This outside influence could be an older brother, a wall, a time out, a butterfly.
A body at rest (Noah) tends to stay at rest unless acted on by an outside influence.  This is usually a younger brother, but could be screen time, the completion of a book, or a grumbling tummy.

Law #2 - (this is a bit of a stretch)
Force = mass x acceleration OR, for our example, Force = mass (Noah) x acceleration (Nate)

Law #3 - Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
Exactly.
Seems maybe no explanation is needed?  Here's one just in case -
This does NOT mean that if you punch your brother in the stomach, he'll hug you and give you tea.  It may, however, mean that if you punch him in the gut, he'll kick you in the behind.
Equal and opposite, right?

I leave you with our favorite local landmark/sign - The Firefarting Dog.  We're going to start a comic strip about him.  Any and all ideas are welcome.

I see the firefarting dog propelling forward and encountering the aforementioned Newton's Laws.
