The Old city by NJB
Today we woke up, had breakfast, and walked
to the old city. We entered through the
Damascus gate and boy it was packed!

There were people driving through the streets
that were full of people! At least they made so
much noise you could hear them like 30 seconds

before they arrived. There were, I think, six
sweet shops and on the way to some place and
this place that had like five chickens roasting
sweet shops and on the way to some place and
this place that had like five chickens roasting
and something on a vertical spit and they both
had fires underneath them. Then (after like 45
minutes) we wondered to the western wall and
had fires underneath them. Then (after like 45
minutes) we wondered to the western wall and
stopped at a grocery and got mango juice then
we sat down and drank it. After that we got lost
(though my mom kept insisting we weren’t lost)
we sat down and drank it. After that we got lost
(though my mom kept insisting we weren’t lost)
and somehow climbed stairs that lead to the
dome of the rock or at least a view of it.
I’m pretty sure that they wouldn’t have let us in
anyway. Then we went back down the stairs and
continued forward and after a couple of minutes
later I recognized a shop and knew we were near the
dome of the rock or at least a view of it.
